ABOUT THE SHOW
A cage, a season of sunlight, and one true choice
Sicily, 1855. As a cholera epidemic sweeps through the island, it opens a door for Maria, a young novice raised inside a convent.
Sent to the countryside for safety, Maria is reunited with her family and crosses paths with Nino, the man who awakens desires she has never been allowed to name. For a short, sunlit season, the walls disappear.
But as the danger passes, the cage closes again. Maria is called back to her vows, while Nino is pushed toward a different future. Deprived of her freedom, Maria makes the only choice that truly belongs to her.
